These Washers are made with a premium alloy that international material standards have specified. The material is sourced from a reliable supplier to ensure Washer durability and dependability. Alloy 321 is a Titanium Stabilized Austenitic SS with Excellent general corrosion resistance. After exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 to 1500 Degrees F, it exhibits good resistance to intergranular corrosion. The alloy offers stronger creep and stress rupture characteristics than alloys 304 and 304L and resists oxidation to 816 Degrees C. It is also resistant to low temperatures. It was designed for increased creep resistance and strength at temperatures over 537 ° Celsius. Most of the time, the carbon content of the plate allows for dual certification. Alloy 321 Washer can only be toughened by cold working, not heat treated. It is easily welded and treated according to specifications.
Stainless Steel 321 Washer is available in both customized and non-customized variants. These Washers promote intergranular corrosion by preventing carbide drizzle, making them particularly convenient in applications such as aerospace and piston engine manifolds, chemical preparation, expansion joints, food processing machinery and storage, petroleum refinery polythionic acid service, and sewage disposal for thermal oxidizers. SS 321 washers can be used in up to 10% diluted solutions at high temperatures. In hydrocarbon service, they withstand polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking.
