Alloy 400 Washers are composed mainly of nickel and copper, with minor quantities of iron, carbon, silicon, and manganese. While Nickel Alloy 400 Washers have a lot of benefits, they are far from ideal. Because they tend to work harden fast, these Monel Alloy 400 Washers are difficult to machine. In many situations, Monel 400 Washer is corrosion-resistant. However, it can rust when exposed to specific chemicals. For example, nitric oxide, sulfur dioxide, hypochlorites, and nitrous acid may all damage these Alloy 400 Washers.
These washers are used in electronic industries, chemical industries, soap industries, aerospace industries, food industries, caustic handling equipment, fabrication industries, cement industries, sugar industries, power plants, and steel plants, among others, utilizing Monel Alloy 400 Washer. These Monel 400 Fasteners are highly sought after since they are manufactured using modern techniques, sophisticated technology, and equipment.
Despite this, the copper concentration of the Monel 400 Washer allows them to be used in such settings. Like most FCC crystalline alloys, the alloy’s flexibility provides for good formability in products like Monel 400 Hex Nuts. Galvanic corrosion can occur when Nickel Alloy 400 Washer is present. While Monel Alloy 400 Washer is corrosion resistant, it can get pitted if exposed to seawater. Monel UNS N04400 Washers have excellent mechanical characteristics at sub-zero temperatures, can withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit, and has a melting point of 2370 degrees Fahrenheit and a melting point of 2460 degrees Fahrenheit. We pack these Monel 400 Washers in the standard packaging method.
